A one day experience that covers the basics of Knots and Lashings, Shelters, Fire and Water
During this one day experience participants will learn the basics for
- Knots and lashings ( which will be of use throughout the day )
- Fire principals and types ( including the chance to make fire )
- Shelter types and building
- Water collection and purification
The morning will be spent learning the principals and the afternoon will be an opportunity for everyone to practice what was learned in the morning session.
Itinerary
0900 - 1000 Arrival, introductions and safety brief.
1000 -1040 Knots and lashings
1040-1120 Fire
1120- 1200 Shelters and Water
1200- 1240 Lunch (Not provided)
1240 - 1600 Application of skills ( Candidates will have the whole use of the 5 acre woodland to practice)
1600- 1630 Pack up and feedback
Equipment / Clothing
- Sensible clothing, including good shoes ( there is a walk over a farmers field)
- Lunch
- Bush craft knife if you have one (if not we will provide)
Who should attend
Perfect for beginners or those who want to brush up on skills, kids below the age of 12 must be accompanied by an adult
